Yung Wavy "The Futuristic Kid"

Coming from a planet far far away, Futuristic Kids have landed on planet Earth to set the streets straight on what futuristic music really is. The group is composed of Kid Futuristic (Yung Wavy) and Get it Maine. Their music is inspired from swag stars such as Yung L.A. Young Dro, Travis Porter, J-Futuristic and Rich Kids. The group started rappin back in their high school days and every since then they have been making hit songs. Born and raised in Dayton, OH but is composed of Atlanta swag. Music has been their life and they will prove to the world that Futuristic music is really the FUTURE of music.
Yung Wavy – The oldest in the group started rappin at the age of 14, He was raised by his mom and older sister lacking a positive male role model, he looked up to his God Father which took care of him when his mother couldn’t. Moving from house to house, it was very hard for him to have a settled life. By the age of 14 and 15 he realized that he was at the age where he could start making big decisions on his own which led him to the rap game. Realizing that their was a very slight chance of achieving his goal at becoming a famous rapper at such a young age, but as he group and got older he gained more confidence. At the age of 17 he released his 1st mixtape which had a lot of buzz in the streets and encouraged him to keep going. 2 Years laters he hooked up with his best friend from middle school (Maine) and started the group before you today entitled “Futuristic Kids”.

Travis Porter "The New Kids On The Block"

Lexilex: I’ve checked you out on the MySpace and YouTube. I’ve heard about you all on the radio, but for the people who haven’t heard of you, who is Travis Porter?
Travis Porter: Travis Porter consist of three members: Strap the fu-fu, Ali, and Young Quez to be exact. Travis Porter is basically a lifestyle and it has a meaning behind it. It’s not just a name.
Lexilex: What’s the meaning?
Travis Porter: Living life to the fullest (all three say at once). It’s about having fun and learning how to be yourself.
Lexilex: Now, where did you come up with this name Travis Porter?
Travis Porter: Um… you know how most white people have serious fun, they do what they want, and they live life to the Fullest. Travis! Travis… I’ve always wanted to be called Travis, too. You know how everybody else has names like Swagged Out Boyz, Gucci Prada Boyz, we have Travis Porter.
Lexilex: Your style is very animated, you bring so much energy. How do you stay that hyper to put that same energy into everything you do?
Travis Porter: We’re just having fun with it. We love what we do and you just have to have fun. Well, to tell you the truth, I don’t know how we do it. I just watch cartoons a lot… shout out to Sponge Bob (they all say).
Lexilex: (laughter) You guys are in all throughout Atlanta, making a name for yourself. How’s that going for you?
Travis Porter: It’s going well; we’re getting a lot of positive feedback. We’re starting to get recognized in the mall. ‘Oh, my God! That’s Travis Porter’ (they say in high-pitch feminine voices all at once). ‘Let me touch your face’!
Lexilex: (laughter) You guys are very animated, what’s the chemistry behind all of this? Do you just go with the flow or what? How do you record a record?
Travis Porter: It’s whatever comes to mind. We don’t think we just do it; if you think about it you will fuck up. Just let it out. Don’t think, just do it!
Lexilex: What’s the fascination with white boys? I saw that Black Boy White Boy trailer. You named yourself after them. What’s the obsession with the white boys? Are you going with the trend and how people are dressing? Where did that come from?
Travis Porter: It’s really the way we do it. We’ve been black boy white boys. We’ve been making our music like that. Just go to a white person’s park. They are out having fun throwing Frisbees, flying kites, skateboarding; black people just don’t do that. They just sit around drinking beers and shit. (Strap) Aw, man! Come on! Don’t do that to the black people!
Lexilex: Now you know I have to ask this: are you being racist and prejudice against your own.
Travis Porter: (Strap mumbles) Oh my God, he’s fucking racist! (Quez clarifies) No, not at all! I’m black as hell. We’re bringing Martin Luther King back. We’re bringing people together; shout out to Martin Luther King! (all three say one after one) Shout out to Martin Luther King! We come as one.
Lexilex: Are you guys related? Are you brothers?
Travis Porter: We’re step brothers (Quez & Ali say). His daddy be talking to my mama. (Strap) Naw nigga his daddy doing more than talking to yo mama! (Ali) Aye man, don’t be saying that shit. (Strap) And he and I go back, we’ve been boys…
Lexilex: (laughs) About how old are you?
Travis Porter: We’re eighteen and nineteen; sixteen in industry age.
Lexilex: Okay, so sixteen!? (Laugher erupts) What type of audience are you trying to reach? I had that Black Boy White Boy song stuck in my head all day. I had to take a nap to get it out. I saw the video with the big tittied girls dancing and singing and I’m like feeling left out like ‘where have I been?’ They knew the dances and the words, what’s up?
Travis Porter: Naw, it’s no specific crowd. We make music for everybody. My grandmother listens to it. She said we do well.
Lexilex: Going back to your songs… I was listening or watching the Sex Education video. You say you’re sending a message to the kids. Yet, you’re calling the women hoes. What’s up with that? How are you sending a message to the kids?
Travis Porter: You have to relate to the kids. They are talking like that now. They know exactly what you mean. You can’t say ‘Listen Billy, you can’t talk to this girl,’ no, you have to talk to their asses. Don’t mess with that hoe.
Lexilex: Are the videos that you’re doing on YouTube scripted or free styled?
Travis Porter: Everything is free styled. We don’t write anything accept raps.
Lexilex: Wow! That’s pretty interesting.
Travis Porter: Matter of fact, Sex Education wasn’t even supposed to be like that. It just happened like that. As you can see, something was scratched out (laughter) so we mess up. We just saw this dude and was like, ‘yo, let’s talk about him’. For real.
Lexilex: Wow, that’s pretty neat! Who are the artists that are starting to recognize you? Are they different artist, DJs, producers, what?
Travis Porter: I don’t really look at it like that because all of the industry people have heard of us by now. We are just cooling right now, we’re worrying about our in house first; DJ Teknikz, Street Execs. We’re good. We’re cool.
Lexilex: You have several mix tapes out, what’s the goal – like you have I’m a Differenter. What’s the meaning behind it?
Travis Porter: You know how some people say I’m different? You have to be differenter than those who are different. Like the record Black Boy White Boy, that’s differenter. You can talk about Polo, American Eagle, whoever but you don’t talk about it like we do.
Lexilex: Forgive me, but I heard on the radio in Atlanta someone saying they came up with the whole Black Boy White Boy movement. Do you call yourselves the originators of the movement?
Travis Porter: We are the perfectionist of it. We do this shit! Oops! Excuse my language. We didn’t, like… if you made the movement, you should have made the song.
Lexilex: What’s going on with the video? Are those actors?
Travis Porter: No, those are our partners. We go back long ways with them. They are our personal partners. They are in the real video but the trailer is just the clips from the whole video.
Lexilex: Now you know people are going to ask, what the hell is going on?
Travis Porter: That’s the point of Travis Porter. People are like who the hell is Travis Porter? Oh, my God! It’s three people? (all together) ‘Oh, my God! It’s three people’.
Lexilex: How does that feel now that people are recognizing you? What’s the expectation? What’s the feeling as you go forward and what’s the expectation after that?
Travis Porter: It’s a great feeling but you really have to stay humble. You cannot get comfortable. You get fucked. People will take yourself and then you’ll have to stand up. You have to keep working hard.
Lexilex: What’s the goal? Where’s the point where you know you have successfully made it.
Travis Porter: The airport test.
Lexilex: The airport test?
Travis Porter: If nobody says ‘Oh my God, it’s Travis Porter’ then you’re nobody. If there isn’t an old white lady chasing after you with a camera, then you’re nobody.
Lexilex: Out of all of ya’ll who’s the most silliest?
Travis Porter: Ali – no all of us.
Lexilex: Who’s the most serious?
Travis Porter: Strap is the most serious right now.
Lexilex: Which one have the most girls coming up to you?
Travis Porter: I knew you were going to ask that!
Lexilex: No, I always ask this question because people are crazy. What do they do?
Travis Porter: Strap, what do they do? (laughter) They turn into different people, I don’t even know what, and aliens I guess. Like this girl came up to me in the mall, she said ‘oh my God, you’re Travis Porter,’ and I said something like ‘You’re cool’ and she said ‘Oh my God, say you swear to God!’
Lexilex: You have a lot of music on the MySpace. How many mix tapes do you have?
Travis Porter: Three. We have a mix tape coming out with G-Fresh. He’s a white boy producer so we’ve done a lot of songs with him. Hopefully by the end of the this year, we’ll sign to a major and sign to a major album.
Lexilex: Then we have another mix tape coming out which would be four. Looking forward to an album. That’s major. We have people doing dances at the club, we have girls screaming in the malls, we have four mix tapes, working on an album… does that put major pressure on you knowing that you’re trying to produce an album for the masses?
Travis Porter: Naw, it’s no pressure. We don’t think, we just do it. At first, it was pressure when we were in school with our work but we got that together.
Lexilex: Will you be making fun of white people on the album?
Travis Porter: Um…we don’t know just let what the sound will be. We don’t think, just do it.
Lexilex: You all remind me a lot of Outkast. Do you get that a lot?
Travis Porter: Yeah, that’s an influence. Andre 3000 is a personal partner of ours. That’s our partner and ‘em.
Lexilex: Anyone else that you get your style from?
Travis Porter: T.I. and Lil’ Wayne.
Lexilex: How did you get so good at free styling? It was so smooth and consistent.
Travis Porter: There it goes again, don’t think… just do it. If you think, you’ll be messing up. (Ali) I can’t free style. (Quez) Yeah, he can’t free style but he’s getting better at it.
Lexilex: In the video, it didn’t seem like it.
Travis Porter: He can but he can’t.
Lexilex: Do you freestyle all of your music?
Travis Porter: Some but not all.
Lexilex: Are you working with a lot of different producers or only DJ Teknikz.
Travis Porter: DJ Spinz, CSI, Duck, 706, everybody Donovan Clark, G-Fresh.
Lexilex: A lot of up and coming producers?
Travis Porter: Yeah, all of them are.
Lexilex: Are you going to get into writing for other people.
Travis Porter: Most definitely, we just have to get us straight first. Family first.
Lexilex: Wow… okay, cool! Any up and coming producers?
Travis Porter: Space Invasion and I’m a Differenter. We’re on DJ smalls mix tape. We’re on a bunch of mix tapes. We have Teach her how to ball video coming up. We have a DVD coming but we didn’t name it yet. We have a video for the Baddest Bitch coming up too.
Lexilex: What else is coming up?
Travis Porter: I’m getting a new tattoo tomorrow. We’re going to Augusta & Savannah – shout outs to them. Shout out to Teknikz. We also have a song called Shiiid. We have a show coming up with Gucci Mane and J-Money.
Lexilex: What’s that like doing a show with Gucci Mane?
Travis Porter: It’s cool he’s a regular person, like us.
Lexilex: Anything else you want to add?
Travis Porter: Yeah, you look like my sister.
Lexilex: Anything else?
Travis Porter: Twitter.com/IamTravis Porter. Myspace.com/WhoisTravisPorter. And we have WhoIsTravisPorter.com coming up.
Lexilex: Cool. I appreciate this, and I wish you all of the success as you go forward. You’re about to take over Georgia pretty soon! Now I know, who Travis Porter is.
Travis Porter: Can we get some grits and eggs?
Lexilex: yeah they have it!
Travis Porter: Where?
Lexilex: At the Waffle House!

He is in a production duo with Swizz Beatz, and together they produced several Beyoncé Knowles singles: "Diva", "Ring the Alarm", "Get Me Bodied", "Upgrade U" and "Check on It". He also writes often over productions by Polow da Don. Garrett is currently working on a new album by Whitney Houston.

Garrett's catch-phrase, which is featured in multiple songs he has produced, is "Smash on the radio, bet I penned it." Also, Sean Garrett has become good friends with Ludacris. Jamie Foxx 'Blame It' Tour

Comedian/Actor/R&B - Soul Singer and Oscar-winning, Jamie Foxx has fled fans to the box office by the mere mentioning of his national tour entitled the Jamie Foxx “Blame It” Tour; while hosting the 2009 BET Awards on Sunday June 28, 2009 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in full dedication to the undisputed King of Pop -- Michael Jackson.
It seems like just yesterday the former host of Soul Train, was cross-dressing as the big lip bandit known as Wanda on FOX’s In Living Color during the early-mid 90’s; but more evident today Jamie Foxx’s talent is divinely entertaining.
In 2004 playing the celebrated life of Ray Charles in Ray, Foxx undeniably won a plethora of new fans world-wide; not to mention the motion-picture brought his first Academy Award and a striking friendship with The Color Purple’s Sofia b.k.a. Oprah Winfrey.
Shortly thereafter in 2005 Jamie Foxx released Unpredictable on J Records shared by Alicia Keys, Mario and also headed by notorious executive Clive Davis. This album proved Foxx as a systemizer and a very concentrated musician. He expressed “numerous” times over “what women really want” on joints like “Can I Take You Home” written by Static/Major (Lollipop by Lil’ Wayne/ Try Again by Aaliyah) and produced by Über-Music Producer, Timbaland.
Also crooning like his predecessors Ginuwine and R. Kelly, Jamie Foxx knows how to bring his savvy yet witty stage presence; to get a rise out of everyone just like in his stellar medley performance at the 2006 BET Awards of “DJ Play a Love Song” showcasing his lip-locking session with American Idol Season 3-winner, Fantasia and (she’s still salivating over it).
His latest release, Intuition delivers more keen vocals fused with an obsession of auto-tunes; hence the hit-single “Blame It” featuring T-Pain which peaked #2 on The Billboard’s Hot 100 charts. On the track Jamie Foxx describes subtle pleasures when inebriated after an eventful night at the club. Musically, Jamie Foxx is still vulgar but a gentleman who can romance any woman and quite a few men – being just that good; call him Soul-Singer, Maxwell’s competition.
As the tour already kicked off earlier this month in Las Vegas, Jamie Foxx expects a non-stop party throughout the entirety of the show. Once lured to the venue, don’t expect him to throttle back. Get tickets early (pay bills later); the extraordinary Jamie Foxx takes on the Amway Arena in Orlando, FL on Sunday August 30,2009. Über-MUSIC fans this is by far the summer’s hottest ticket. For a full-listing of tour dates, click here.

Marlon Wayans New Movie "G.I. Joe" Might Go To Number 1!

Marlon Wayans, who plays Ripcord in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, told reporters that he's playing a legitimate action hero this time around, no kidding. That means that he may crack wise, but he's not clowning his way through the action.
"It's all about being credible," Wayans said in a group interview on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, Calif. after a press conference for Dance Flick. "For me, I would love people to be able to cross genres and do it in a way where your audience believes you and you're appropriate."
Wayans added: "For G.I. Joe it was all about me being appropriate and just being mature about my decisions of when to be funny and when not to be. It's always a challenge. They may try and put you inside of a little box, but I know that, talent-wise, I look at my filmography and I'm able to do a lot. I've played a junkie in Requiem [for a Dream], a white woman in White Chicks. I played a little person in Little Man. I played a weedhead in Scary Movie. Now I get to finally play a hero, and I get to play a hero with some humor."
And Wayans wasn't just pretending to play action hero: He did many of his own stunts, which felt pretty real, he said. "Yeah, I did actually most of it, unfortunately," he said. "It was scary as hell hanging from a 20-story building."
Coming from smaller-budgeted comedies, Wayans found the set of Joe an eye-opener. "Oh, it's a $200 million movie, 190 or something crazy like that," he said. "For me it was like, 'Wow.' Just checking out what kind of craft service they had was something special. The makeup trailer was as big as my house. It was a whole 'nother different production. But I've got to say that most of it, and the value, is on the screen. When you see the stuff from the movie, every piece of material I saw on it blows me away. I'm just going, 'Wow, I'm in that.'"
Still, Wayans promises he gives the same quality performance as he did in the $19 million-budgeted Scary Movie. "No, it doesn't change the work," he said. "It makes you work harder, because you know you have this huge budget on your head, and it makes everybody more on point and nobody slacks, but you get really cool costumes, you get incredible gadgets, and you get stuff that you ain't gonna get for $19 million. I can't see them making the kind of aircraft that they made for G.I. Joe for $19 million."
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra opens Aug. 7.

Jay-Z Nixes Rumored Beef With Chris Brown

Jay-Z cleared up recent rumors that he has beef with Chris Brown and plotted against the singer to ensure he was not allowed to perform at this year's BET Awards. In a recent interview with radio personality Tim Westwood, Hov said that although he has no problem with Brown, but if he did he would address him face to face. "That's the silliest rumor I've ever heard," Jay said of the alleged debacle at the BET awards. "You don't comment on rumors. It's just so silly. Let me categorically deny that. That's not even my style."If I have a problem with Chris Brown, I have a problem with Chris Brown. I haven't said anything [about Brown] live or behind the scenes. I don't agree with what he did and that's it. That's the end of it. As far as not letting him perform on the BET [awards]? That's stupid. I wouldn't do that. That's not how I deal with my problems." The rumors of the alleged rift stemmed from Brown's assault on former girlfriend Rihanna, who Jay affectionately calls "little sister." Brown has since released a public apology for the incident.

Run's son JoJo Simmons.Earlier this week, JoJo criticized Soulja Boy's lyrical skills on his twitter page. "Lyrically Soulja Boy ain't [too] dope, but musically he's a genius this [joint] right here kinda catchy," JoJo said.Soulja Boy was not a fan of JoJo's comments -- despite the compliment tucked in the tweet -- and took to his Twitter page to respond. "Lyrically I ain't dope?...'Kinda catchy' Watch your mouth bruh," Soulja Boy advised.

Michael Jackson Tried To End 50 Cent/ Game Beef
The Game remembers when Jackson called and offered to mediate between the rappers.
By Jayson Rodriguez

"We Are the World" and "Heal the World" were undoubtedly two of Michael Jackson's greatest songwriting and humanitarian achievements. But if MJ had been able to cool off the tension between 50 Cent and the Game, as the California rapper claims he attempted to a few years back, then Jackson could have won the Nobel Peace prize. He certainly would have earned it.
Game told MTV News that during his beef with 50, which began in 2005, Jackson actually called the Compton MC and offered to play peacekeeper between the two former friends.
"I was on tour in Canada, sitting in my room, cutting my hair," Game told MTV News, recalling Jackson's phone call. "I was messing my hair up. Then my road manager knocks on my door. Boom, boom, boom. He told me, I got MJ on the phone. I ran and snatched up the phone."
On the other end of the line was a British gentleman who connected the two musicians. A nervous Game said Jackson started the conversation by talking about music and complimenting him on his records like "Hate It or Love It" and "How We Do." Then the King of Pop asked about the rapper's children. But before the phone call ended, Jackson touched on one last topic, a sensitive matter at the time.
"He got to this one thing that makes me laugh, man." Game explained. "He said, 'I don't know how you're gonna feel about this, but I want to ask you something. I don't want you to judge me, but I don't really know everything that's going on between you and 50. But I want to be the middleman behind you putting this situation to bed.' "
Jackson wanted the two to meet, with him serving as a mediator, according to Game. The rapper mentioned Jackson's outreach in his new song, "Better on the Other Side," a tribute to the late King of Pop that features Chris Brown, Diddy, Boyz II Men and Mario Winans. A video for the track, featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the record, is set to premiere online on Tuesday (June 30), Game said. On Friday, 50 Cent also released two Michael Jackson tribute tracks, "Respect It or Check It N---a" and "Where You Are."
Although 50 and Game eventually put their differences aside, Jackson wasn't involved. Game said MJ wanted all three of the artists to collaborate on a song together. But, unfortunately, nothing ever came about.
"It just never manifested," Game said.
Don't miss "Michael Jackson: Picking Up the Pieces," Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, featuring a special report from MTV News.

Miss Independent "Dawn Richard" -Rather than remain damaged, Dawn Richard is taking her career from breakups to Renaissance woman levels.-

Days after D. Woods was expelled on Making the Band, she remixed “Swagger Like Us” with her group Girls Club, taking shots at you and the rest of the group. Any response?I didn’t even listen to the song. I’m not giving that any thought. I don’t have issues with anyone. If people want to write records about other people, that’s totally on them. I’m not going to address any negativity, but I wish the fans could observe that, because that tells a lot about people.
We’ve got some instrumentals already loaded, in case you change your mind. You know how I’m going to respond? I’m going to write number-one singles on other people’s albums, so I can continue with my life and this business. That’s what I came to do.
We’d bet your comic book heroine would take a more aggressive initiative. Tell us about Danity Kane Comics.I’m so proud of it. My brother and I, we just hustled and got it together. It’s Sex and the City meets Sin City, a story about a singer who gets sent to Earth to save the world, because she has the key to unlock Earth’s finest treasure. But there’s a villain in all of this, and he wants to use her voice for the wrong purposes. So it’s the battle between good and evil but with a sexy twist, because it’s a girl who kicks ass and takes names—and looks sexy while doing it.
Way to put the “strip” back in comics! If you were a superhero, what would your powers be? We got dibs on x-ray vision.I’d be able to listen in on people’s thoughts and control those thoughts, to manipulate them to do whatever I wanted. Preferably men [laughs], because that shit’s fun.

50 Cent Releases Album Same Day As Jay-z (Comp??)

In a move that seems all too familiar, rapper 50 Cent has announced that he will release his fourth studio album the same day Jay Z’s Blueprint 3 is released.According to YoRaps.com a source in the G-Unit camp has revealed that 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct will be released on September 11, the exact same day Jay Z’s Blueprint 3 drops.Almost two years ago, 50 Cent released his third album Curtis the exact same day as Kanye West’s Graduation. Ironically, the albums were also released on September 11. In an interview with Funkmaster Flex two years ago 50 Cent shared his thoughts on releasing an album the same day as Kanye. "I hope they see and understand what's getting ready to happen," 50 Cent said. "I'm coming September 11. If Kanye comes that day, he comes that day. That'll be great. I think his people are smart, I think he's smart too ... I think they'll move. But I'm coming September 11." 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct has been given several release dates, but has been pushed back every time. Most recently, 50 Cent released his War Angel LP and spoke to MTV about the LP."This material, I felt it fits the summer," 50 Cent explained to MTV. "The whole vibe. I used the War Angel title for it [because] I read a comic book through Marvel Comics. The guy who created it, he's done 'Nightmare on Elm Street' and illustrations I'm familiar with. He created this concept: War Angel. God created these angels to create war. It's necessary on some level. I took the concept. It's kinda from the perspective I grew up under.”

The Game Apologizes To 50 Cent and Interscope

In a recent interview with MTV News, The Game relayed Michael Jackson’s attempts to end the beef between him and 50 Cent. Although the rappers eventually laid the feud to rest (without Jackson’s help) the tension between the two still remained. However, The Game has finally taken it upon himself to give a formal apology, not just to 50, but to the whole Interscope label.
“For 50, I’m just gonna apologize to him, just as a man,” he told MTV. “It has nothing to do with music, or beef, or nothing like that. It ain’t about being the bigger man. He can take it and say, ‘Game is apologizing,’ ‘Game’s a sucka, he’s apologizing.’ I’m apologizing for me to him, to [Dr.] Dre, to Jimmy Iovine, to Eminem, to all the fans. Because if you think about what Interscope was when we were gellin’, man we were it. We were an unstoppable force.”
He explained that while he was a member of G-Unit, there were some things he needed to do “for my career to have longevity, and for me to survive in Hip Hop music,” and this may have played a part in the dissolving relationship between himself and 50 Cent. He also expressed some regret that G-Unit and the Interscope label did not get to experience the success that it could have had, potentially.

Jody Breeze Speaks On Solo Album

“I can’t even put it into words [how they've prepared me],” noted Breeze. “If you’re in the industry, you can really just think everything’s a-OK, because there’s a case to everything. When I first started, I was only 19 years old. I didn’t really know anything about the industry…when I came into the game, it was like coming out of high school [and] into the pros, like some LeBron James shit. By me coming where I come from and immeadiately be in the lime light, it showed me a lot because there’s more to the industry than just rapping a making songs, as far as the paper work and the business side.”Later, he added, “[Before I signed my deal with Sho Nuff,] I had never been in the studio. I never really knew anything about the industry…to get me a solo deal, I could’ve went anywhere, but they told me to do a label deal [instead] and that really fucked me up. Instead of signing me to the label, they signed Sho Nuff as a label deal, so that way, if I wanted to do anything or get something done, they had to go through Sho Nuff instead of me being signed directly to the label. That kind of fucked me up, too. Block [Russell Spencer, Block Ent. CEO] went through the same thing with Boyz N Da Hood. Instead of signing directly to Bad Boy, he started his own label and got a kick off of that…I was the centerpiece for a lot of peoples’ success, but being that I was humble and I was young and I didn’t really understand the game, I put my career on hold for these niggas.”Breeze also discussed the issue of age in the modern Hip-Hop industry. Having first began his career at the age of only 19, Breeze feels that age is irrelevant if a certain artist has a song able to set the charts on fire. While this may be good for the individual artist, Breeze sees it as sometimes detrimental to Hip-Hop.“I think the game has turned into whoever has this one song [will make it],” said the Georgia rapper. “It doesn’t really matter how old you are. If [the industry heads] feel like they can make money off of a situation, it doesn’t matter how old you are…Hip-Hop used to be like where you had to [have gone] through something for people to even listen to you. Today, it’s like you don’t even have to have done [anything] in your life to just come up with a song [and] all of a sudden you’re somebody.” "REPORT BY: HIPHOPDX"

Jay Z’s “D.O.A.” Increases Auto-Tune Sales

While Jay Z’s “D.O.A” calls for the death of the popular audio software program Auto-Tune, the fad is far from dead.Antares Audio Technologies, the company that created Auto-Tune, revealed to the New York Times that sales of Auto-Tune have in fact increased since the release of Jay Z’s “D.O.A.”.“The Jay-Z controversy is great,” Marco Alpert, vice president of marketing at Antares, told the New York Times. “We couldn’t buy P.R. like this.”Originally created to correct a singer’s pitch, Auto-Tune has become heavily used in Hip Hop and R&B. Artists such as Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and T-Pain have benefited tremendously from Auto-Tune and although Jay-Z is hoping the trend comes to an end he is in no way putting down the artists who have profited from it."The guys who did, did it great," Jay-Z explained to New York’s HOT97 weeks ago. "Let them guys do it. They got their little niche. Let's move on."

Young Jeezy Disses Drama, Drama Responds....

....Ever since a brawl between Young Jeezy's and DJ Drama's camps broke out at a screening of Notorious in Atlanta earlier this year, tension has been building between the rapper and the deejay. In an upcoming interview in XXL, Jeezy made his discontent with the popular deejay official."Drama just started acting like a bitch. Drama wanted to be Khaled, but he didn't want to help nobody," said Jeezy. "He just changed, period. Look at his crew. The same niggas ain't around him. You ain't never been in no streets. I could never have no beef with a nigga like that. He's a cornball. "You made millions off my mixtapes, to the point where the fuckin' feds scooped you up for bootlegging. I never even made the money he made off of Trap or Die or Tha Streetz Iz Watchin, because they were selling and distributing them and making money," elaborated Jeezy. The Snowman continued, alleging that Drama charged too much for a mixtape that was going to feature one of Jeezy's artists. "We will never do a mixtape together," announced Jeezy. "I didn't charge that nigga for [contributing a verse to the song '5000 Ones,' on Drama's official debut]. But then when I need [a tape for one of my artists], and you want to charge me $20,000?"Fortunately, Jeezy has no intention of physical violence. "I'll slap the shit out of Drama. He knows that. He wasn't loyal," said Jeezy, "But me putting my hands on that man ain't gonna make him respect what I'm saying. I'm just not gonna fuck with him anymore."DJ Drama presumably responded to Jeezy's statements yesterday (July 30) via his Twitter account (twitter.com/DJDRAMA)."Damn what did I land to? Lol ... it'll get addressed people, don't believe them lies," wrote Drama.

Kanye West’s girlfriend Amber Rose continues to out-crazy him

Kanye West’s still fairly new girlfriend has been spotted in public with Mr Motormouth again, and she continues to impress, if only for her attempts to appear more crazy than he is.
In their latest appearance, Amber Rose wore bright pink leggings, which matched delightfully with her cropped hair and zebra print handbag.
Match made in heaven.Read more: http://www.inquisitr.com/19614/kanye-wests-girlfriend-amber-rose-continues-to-out-crazy-him/#ixzz0MuDyhzcS
